Here is the latest edition of Week In Review – a series of weekly messages from the Mayor and City Council to help Richardson residents and businesses keep up to date on events at City Hall.
Bond Proposals and Charter meetville reddit Amendments Approved Unofficial results from the 2015 bond election and the Charter amendment election show Richardson voters approved all four measures of the proposed $115 million bond package and all 83 proposed Charter amendments. 8,089 registered voters (13.3 percent) turned out at the polls and approved the Charter amendments by an average of 82 percent and the four bond propositions by an average of 76 percent.

2015-17 City Council Goals Discussed City staff provided an overview of the City Council goal setting process at Monday’s City Council meeting and presented a proposed vision, goals and strategies based on previous discussions with the Council. 9 meeting. Car charging stations at the Bush Turnpike Station, a new DART trip planning app in partnership with Uber, Lyft and Zipcar, and a request to rename the Bush Turnpike Station in , to be more compatible with the surrounding CityLine development, were among the topics Gary Thomas, president/executive director of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), brought up this week during a discussion with the City Council.
The information was part of an update during the City Council’s work session meeting. Topics discussed included “D2” rail alignment funding (for additional lines through downtown Dallas), 3-car train additions to the Red Line and accompanying platform extension projects (for Arapaho Center, Bush Turnpike and Galatyn Park stations), the Cotton Belt Rail Corridor development (from the Bush Turnpike Station to DFW Airport; target completion date is 2035), and the need for greater east-west accessibility in Richardson from DART rail stations.
